SPANDEX! - (REVIEW)

Winnipeg Fringe Festival 2001
By LAURIE HOOGSTRATEN , CBC

July 25, 2001

Comedy duo The Cowards are back and The Cowards have nothing to fear. The Winnipeg Fringe audiences still love them, because they're still funny. In Spandex, Mark J. Richardson and Dave Pearce are tighter than their pants with a fast-paced sketch, song and improv show that has all the polish we've seen before.

Their comedy ranges from a "fear of tropical disease song" (Ebola, ebola, I'm losing controlla?) complete with dance break to intermittent verbal bar brawls that answer questions like: Who really ruled the Roman Empire?

Find out just how sexy beer can make a man and increase your nature knowledge with the Coward style nature documentary on the "lucky pinkies" of Madagascar.
